“21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”
Matthew 18:21-22
Brothers and Sisters Forgiveness is a Choice, but, it is a Requirement in your Life. Jesus was very clear that if We do not Forgive those who do wrong to us, then Jesus will not Forgive you of the Sins that you have committed against God. It is a Black and White Life Choice that each of us must face and do in our Daily Lives.
Sometimes it is difficult to do, sometimes it is difficult to understand when we are offended. Sometimes because of our flesh we feel Justified within our actions, causing UnForgiveness to gain Root into our Souls and not understanding the price and what it will cost us at the end of our Lives.
“14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Matthew 6:14-15
Forgiveness is the Justifiable Action that we must do. When Jesus took the beatings, the slander, the spitting upon, the torture, the separation of The Father and His Death He endured for you, that you may be Forgiven. Be Justifiable before The Father through the Blood of Jesus that washes our Sins Away! Then Jesus makes His Commandment, Forgive Men Their Trespasses Against You! That means, that no matter what, when someone has done wrong against you, you have a Commandment from Jesus that You Must Forgive. There is no Gray Area here, you either Do or You Do Not.
Unforgiveness brings Bitterness into the Soul. Doctors have concluded that Unforgiveness can produce Health Issues and even cause Death. Forgiveness Releases us from being Bound to our Flesh, giving Hope where none exists. Forgiveness Opens the Doors Of Healing both to the Soul and to the Flesh in ways that goes beyond our understanding. Forgiveness is the Foundation Of Our Faith, bringing us into a Relationship with Jesus, without Forgiveness we would all perish in our sins with no hope.
“12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye. 14 And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
Colossians 3:12-17
Verse 13, “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.” We must as The Elect Of God, Forbear those things that are wrong against us, having Forgiveness for them whether they deserve it or not, whether they ask for Forgiveness or not, it does not matter. What does matter to God is that we Forgive Without Prejudice. So let’s break this down into a Real Life situation example. Let say that your family member has lied to you a hundred times and has broken promise after promise to you. They have used you for their own personal gain, with no accountability to their actions. Let say they might have even gotten into a physical fight with you, maybe even more than once. You Must Forgive Them. Now what about a complete stranger, same example, maybe even worse, You Still Must Forgive Them!
Jesus said it best in this way:
“Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.”
Luke 23:34
We must carry with us at all times that the people that we deal with day in and day out, Do Not Know What They Do. We Must bear this as part of the Cross we carry in this Life until we go home.
Brothers and Sisters we need to memorize this verse and Walk In a Continuous Forgiving Fashion each and every moment of Our Lives!!! It should be on our minds always. It is hard! I have found myself at times that I have allowed anger to rule, finding an excuse to justify my unforgiveness because someone has done wrong. But, I have also found that it seems that I am asking for Forgiveness for my Actions but not necessarily Forgiving the person who caused the issue. This is where the matter of the Heart dwells, that I Must not only ask for Forgiveness for my Actions, but I Must also Forgive Others Their Actions, even though they may be undeserving in my eyes.
As this world becomes more and more Ungodly having the Actions of Self-Justification, Self-Righteousness it is becoming increasingly hard to walk in this matter of Forgiveness. It is even more so that I am thinking of the Days Of Lot and the Days Of Noah when the world was filled with sin in the same likeness as now, how they must have struggled each day. To be Oppressed by the Actions of others who care less how God Thinks and how you think.
“29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Ephesians 4:29-32
We Must Walk In Forgiveness always keeping in mind what Jesus has done for us, Forgiving us of our sins, which are Justifiable Unto Eternal Death. Again it is not easy, and times you will find it very hard to Walk In Forgiveness, but we Must!!!
As the Age Of The Gentiles is getting closer to an end, we must, as The Children Of God, do all that we can to Walk In Forgiveness. We must keep ourselves from being Bound to an issue of Unforgiveness towards others, that we Walk even as Jesus did, has and will until the end.
Let each of us say this prayer: Lord Jesus, Forgive me of my Sins and the Wrong that I have done against You and I Choose to Forgive those who have done Wrong against me. Let Your Glory Shine within me and outwardly to those around me, that You Jesus will be Glorified In All that I may Do and Say. In The Mighty Name Of Jesus, Amen and Amen!!!
Forgiveness, the Actions Of Eternal Glory… is your Glory In Jesus or The Lake Of Fire?
As always, Your Choice!!!
Be Blessed in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savor!!!
Amen and Amen!!!
