The Proof Is In The Pudding

Brothers and Sisters this saying is hundreds of years old and its meaning: The proof of the pudding is in the eating. And what it meant was that you had to try out the food to know whether it was good.

We are to Taste, Examine, and Weigh all Things and all People, whether they are Good in The Site Of Jesus or they are Not Acceptable To Jesus. This message is a Blend of Trial and Error as well as Knowing and Rejecting. It covers the Whole Life of a person as they begin to Walk On Their Own, things from that point are Trial and Error. From this point we learn, hopefully, what is Good and Bad. It starts at a very young age, somewhere around 2 Years Old, and continues throughout the rest of our lives.

Accepting Jesus is on the same basis of Trial and Error. The Word says that we are to Taste, that is to Try, God and Know He is Good and seeing that He Is Good, we Put Our Trust In Him and are Blessed in doing so.

“O taste and see that the LORD [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that] trusteth in him.”

Psalm 34:8

Jesus will Prove to us that He Is God, that He Is Trust Worthy, that He Is Full Of Mercy and Grace, that He Is a God Of Love, that He Is A Teacher, That He Is A Comforter and the list goes on. The Trial and Error phase is ongoing until we meet Jesus Face to Face.

Now to Understand this Phrase “The Proof Is In The Pudding” requires, it demands, a person Must Seek in order to Try, to Taste, to Know if something is Good or Bad, Right or Wrong, Godly or Ungodly. It does not happen overnight.

“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.”

1 Chronicles 16:11

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14

42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. 43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. 44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. 45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. 46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.”

Psalm 119:42-46

The Proof takes our Due Diligence to have a Relationship With Jesus, With God. You cannot in One Second, One Minute, One Hour, One Day, One Week, One Month, One Year…One Life Time come to the Full Understanding Who Our God Is, it is literally impossible! We Must Seek Jesus every day for the rest of our lives.

Now, what is the Main Ingredient to The Proof…it is Love. In that Love is a Hunger To Know More, to Want, to Seek, to Desire Jesus. Another part of this is to Understand that even though we are Made In The Image Of God, we are not Like God, that Our Ways that we Understand are Not God’s Ways.

6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:6-9

In this Trial by Error, The Proof is when we Let Go and Let God Control. This is one of the hardest tasks for any person to do, even to those whom we see face to face with, little alone a God whom you have never seen. But in order for us to have Proof, then we Must Change Our Lives from One Aspect to a completely Different Aspect Of Life. In order for this to happen we Must Change Our Thought Patterns from the Worlds Standards to God’s Standards.

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 12:1-2

In order for me to Prove God, I Must Become Like God Is. That My Ways become God’s Ways. This one Scripture that most people seem to Miss-Understand it that it says the very same thing, that everything in our Lives Become…Become, again, BECOME New.

“Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Now what most people miss, is that there are Two Parts to this Scripture, one… You Are A New Creature and Your Sins are Washed Away, the second part… is BEHOLD ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW! In other words, if you are Seeking Jesus, if you are Tasting, Trying The Pudding that He Offers, then you will find it is Different then what you are used to, that it is Not The Same as you have Once Lived.

Back to The Love Factor… if…If…IF you Truly Love Jesus, then you will Obey His Word Completely, The Holy Spirit Completely with NO COMPROMISE!

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

John 14:15

This is the First Part of Proof Is In The Pudding. The Second Part is much harder for us to do, it Requires Judgment. Most people will not even engage in this part of The Proof and when looking at most you will find their Lives with Sin and Uncertainty. But nevertheless it is a Requirement From Jesus.

8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire: 12 Whose fan [is] in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Matthew 3:8-12

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:16-23

The most famous Scripture to be Miss-Understood…

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”

Matthew 7:1-6

Most people stand on verses 1 and 2, not reading the rest of what Jesus had say. A person full of Sin has no right to make any Judgment against another for that is Hypocritical, but a person who has been Delivered of such Sin can make a Righteous Judgment.

1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? 6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.”

1 Corinthians 6:1-6

There are more Scriptures speaking that we are to Judge, whether anyone likes it or not it does not matter, but what Jesus Declares does. If we do not first Judge Ourselves by The Word and Holy Spirit then we become worthless in Proving Jesus to The World and if we do not Make A Judgment against such that follow Not After Jesus, then have we Become The World Again, allowing Ungodliness to enter in The Church, calling them Holy Saints that are not!

The Word is a Two Edged Sword that cuts through our excuses and also the excuses of The World. It is By The Word Of God that we will Live Eternity With God or we will Live Eternity In The Lake Of Fire.

“For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Hebrews 4:12

“And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”

Luke 4:4
