The Words Of Saints

“Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”

Matthew 15:11

Brothers and Sisters What are you Speaking? Are your Words Clean, are they thought through before speaking? I hear much among the Blood Bought that say things that are vain and vulgar and take no feeling of remorse in what they have said. This should not be in God’s Children!

13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.“

Matthew 15:13-14

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”

2 Timothy 4:3

Those who Speak and to those who have Heard, not caring what they say, or how they say it, will lead those whom have Itching ears falling into a deep ditch. It is the Blind leading the Blind that neither can see clearly to walk The Narrow Path which we have been called to walk. We are not to make jest or make fun of sin in any fashion.

I know there will be many that will be offended by this, saying they can tell a clean joke, my question to you is… Can You? If there is any type of Offence to any person, any type of Mockery then I say you cannot. Even to those things we may find innocent can have a deeper meaning then what we intended it to mean to us. Here is an example of an innocent joke: “Pete and Repeat sitting on a fence, Pete fell off who is left…Repeat…” the joke goes on without ending.

But in its jester it is making fun of the person whom is hearing the joke, implying they are not smart enough to figure out that they joke is on them having the speaker repeat what was just said.

17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are [the things] which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”

Matthew 15: 17-20

Brothers and Sisters we are to be Sober Minded in our Speech, we are on Trial to those who are around us. We will be Judged in Every Word that proceeds from our lips both on earth and from Jesus. We may think within ourselves that it does not offend us, but to those outside of ourselves, may think and take offence to what we find innocent.

We, Brothers and Sisters Set The Standards To The World by our Words and our Actions. We are All Living Epistles presenting Jesus to a lost and dying world. I hear Brothers and Sisters making jokes, jesting at things that I find offensive and stupid at times. Are we Stupid? No, we are not, then why jest in Stupidity?

There are plenty of things to laugh at without jesting.

We have the Power of Life and Death in our tongues, both to the Blood Bought and to the Lost, we need to learn to bridle our tongues, think before speaking and then speak only those things that are encouraging to the hearer.

1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same [is] a perfect man, [and] able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which though [they be] so great, and [are] driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet [water] and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so [can] no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. 13 Who [is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.”

James 3:1-13

Brothers and Sisters— our conversations are to be Holy, filled with Promise, uplifting to those whom hear our words. We can build a person up or we can tear a person down by even the smallest words, even those spoken with no malice being innocent within ourselves.

“There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise [is] health.”

Proverbs 12:18

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but [is] earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.”

James 3:14-18

Is your Speech Heavenly or Earthly? Is it Glorifying Jesus or glorifying your flesh or others in their flesh? We must be on our guard continuously watching Every Word, Every Thought before we Speak to those whom will hear. Sometimes it is not easy, sometimes we saying things we wish we could take back, but, as an arrow is released from the bow, it finds its target, whether for good or bad. If we offend in Word or Deed to the House Of Faith or to the Heathen we must RUN for Reconciliation giving no ground to Satan who will take advantage of the situation if at all possible. Now, I am not talking about if we Speak Gods Word and it brings Offence to those who do not except, because in that we will offend!

21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.”

Matthew 5:21-26

Brothers and Sisters be NOT IGNORENT! We will be Judged for Every Idle Word we speak, we will stand before Jesus in Judgement to everything we have spoken here on earth, it will not matter if you meant no harm or not. Your Words will be Judged according to Gods Holy Word! Jesus has warned us, are you Hearing?

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by [his] fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Matthew 12:33-37

Now, hear is one that I hear a lot and those whom speak such things take no account of what they say. Some us curse words such as “Crap”, “Damn” and similar such words, this should not be. Some use the excuse “well, it’s in the Bible…”, yes the word Dung and Damn is in the Bible, but those who speak such things do not understand taking it out of context and use it to their own fleshly glorification!

We must turn the tide of our Speech from Earthly Conversations to Heavenly Conversations judging ourselves according to Gods Holy Word and not desiring to please our flesh. Change can be hard, but it is a must. In Romans, we are told to not be Conformed to this World, but to be Transformed in our Thoughts, our Speech that through our Speech we can Glorify God!

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 12:1-2

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear,

slow to speak, slow to wrath:”

James 1:19

As always… Your Choice!

Be Blessed in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savior!!!
