Greeting Brother’s and Sister’s, In The Mighty Name Of Jesus, The Christ!
Amen and Amen!!!
“…Life…Abundantly…”
“7Then said Jesus unto them again,Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.
John 10:7 – 10
Our concentration will be verse 10, but let me example 7 – 9 first. In verse 7, Jesus makes a Declaration, “I AM …”. In the Old Testament, God The Father made the Declaration, “I AM” when Moses ask, whom should I say sent me.
“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
Exodus 3:14
Jesus makes a second Declaration “…Door…”, that He, is a Door, which means a way to Enter or Exit and in this case, is a Single Door.
“16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
“6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 3:16 and John 14:6
Jesus third Declaration, “…Sheep”. We who Believe, are called Sheep and Jesus is the Good Shepherd.
“36But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.”
“11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”
Matthew 9:36 and John 10:11
In verse 8 Jesus lets them know that there have been many that have come before God and have tried to get into Heaven by means that are not fit for Heaven, nor accepted by God. Jesus also makes it known here that, the people that did do what God wanted, did as they should, according to God and did not follow after those who did not do as they should.
In verse 9, Jesus Declares again, “I AM THE DOOR”, and that through Him, you will be Saved and that through Him, we can come Boldly to the Throne of Grace at any given time and where ever we go or do, that is In The Will Of The Father, find Plenteous to Meet Our Need.
Verse 10, there are a lot of Misinterpretations about the “…Life…Abundantly…”, a lot of MisLeading that have caused believers to turn away from God because of False Hope and False Expectations. When Jesus spoke: “… I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly“, Jesus is speaking both Physical and Spiritual in these Scriptures. There is one thing that you need to keep in mind, Jesus says: “Might”, twice. Once for Life the other for More Abundantly. It is not a guarantee that everyone will find these two elements. There are millions, upon millions of Christians that have not understood this, and there are even more lost that will never find these things. The Life, is our Rebirth, that we are now have been Forgiven and have been made New again, without spot or blemish, so that we can enter in to Heaven, by the Grace that Jesus has given us. The More Abundantly, comes when you understand that if you Live A Surrendered Life in Jesus, you will find it more Abundant Life, to Live.
Jesus will Meet and Exceed our Needs, not our Greeds.
“Ye ask, and receive not,
because ye ask amiss,
that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts.”
James 4:3
There are many that push Greed, when they talk about these Scriptures in John 10:10. Jesus will Bless us, but we need to understand the Blessing.
The Lord told me many years ago, that the Same Scripture’s apply World Wide, not withstanding one over the other. In other words, if Jesus says that He is the Shepherd to those in Israel, the same meaning, context and demand goes for the Rest Of The World, He Is Our Shepherd.
Satan has tried since he was cast out, to Steal, Kill and Destroy anything that deals with The God Head (Father, Son, Spirit). He does not care how, but he want to make sure that he hurts God, and that he makes himself as a god. Now the Trick or Treat that Satan gives. He Trick’s God’s people in believing Half Truths, he did it with Jesus and he will do it with us.
“1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”
Matthew 4:1 – 11
The three area’s that Jesus was tempted where, 1) Substance Of Life, food; 2) Safety Of Life, God will Protect You; 3) Riches Of Life, owning a Great Deal. These same three things are we Tempted with, in All Avenues of Life.
When Jesus said in John 10:10 that He would give us Life and More Abundantly, he was not speaking in the since that we are going to have All the Food we need, nor All the Protection we need, nor Owning a Great Deal of anything. The Abundant Life is this, that, Jesus will provide for us in all three areas to His Glory, and to The Father’s Glory. Our perspective needs to be the same as God’s perspective, not Satan’s or Man’s. When Jesus gives Abundantly, He Expects and Demands Abundant Return, it is not to Puff Us Up, nor make our Abundance what people seek.
“14 For [the kingdom of heaven is] as a man travelling into a far country, [who] called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made [them] other five talents. 17And likewise he that [had received] two, he also gained other two. 18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.22He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, [there] thou hast [that is] thine. 26His lord answered and said unto him, [Thou] wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and [then] at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give [it] unto him which hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Matthew 25:14 – 30
Stop and consider the World as a whole. Many country’s are in Poverty, which causes Sickness, a lack of Protection against those who would do harm, and there is no Greatness of anything, sometimes a roof over your head, scraps to eat is your Life and Abundance, but yet if these people have Accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior then, they have a Abundant Life in Jesus. The Scriptures say that it is easer for a Camel to go through the Eye of a Needle then for a Rich Man to enter Heaven.
“And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 19:24
For those who did not know, the “…eye of a needle…” is a entrance in the city of Jerusalem, in Israel, that was so tight that in order for a camel to go through the opening, the owner would have to unload his camel, and the camel would have to go through the opening on their knees sometimes, to get through the opening, then the owner would have to load everything back on to their camel. Jesus did not say that a Rich Man can Not Enter Heaven, He was just saying it would not be an easy task for them.
So, in conclusion, if you hear anyone tell you that these set of Scriptures are meaning that we can be rich, that it is “Your Faith” that is keeping it from happening, Kindly and Sternly tell them, that its dealing with a Surrendered Life, that if a person was to give their Lives over 100% to Jesus, and Live the way God says, it would be Abundant, because now, Your Living In God’s Realm, Not Satan’s or Man’s! One last thing to think about, when Jesus Called the Twelve Disciples, what did they have? Jesus said, “Follow Me“, they left everything behind!
Amen and Amen!!!
