Greetings Brother’s and Sister’s in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Our Lord and Savor!!!
In Romans 12: 1 & 2, it says
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.“
The Wording here is very important and needs a closer look. “I beseech you…”, this means, “I Beg You to hear what I have to say, it is very important”. It is Paul, trying to get your attention to what is about to be said, it is Anointed by the Holy Spirit meaning, “Pay Attention”. “…by the mercies of God…”, that is to say “this can only be accomplished because God allows you to”, for we must approach God, knowing that He is Merciful and Graces to us, knowing that Jesus has paid the price that can never be paid back. “…that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service….” Here is where we, you and I, become Living Epistle’s. We, become a Living Sacrifice for God daily, hourly. We, are to be Holy in doing so, that the Way You Live needs to be Acceptable to the Ways of God without question. This is Our only Reasonable Service that God Excepts. It shows to Him a Changed Life!
“And be not conformed to this world…”, we live for now in this World, but God does not want us to Live Like It. He does not want the Worldly ways to entangle your life, to separate you from Him. He is a Jealous God, that wants You all to Himself! “…but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”, the only, only, only way this can happen, is through the Word Of God and the Empowering of the Holy Spirit. See, our thoughts are by nature against God. When Adam Sinned against God, in the Garden of Eden, it transformed us to Think Differently, Act Differently, Speak Differently and Be a Enemy to God. So, we have to be retaught in every area of our lives, there is NO Exception to this rule. It does not matter how smart you my think you are, how old you are or even what you have been through in life. We, have to Change!
“…that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”. This is two fold, it is for You and it for all those who are Lost. You need to Know Who God is, You need to know that God is Good and Worthy of ALL of Your Attention. By doing so, You will find the Perfect Will of God in Your Life! Also, You show those around you, whom You Serve and can give an answer to Whom God is.
If you did not study, you would end up not believing in God the Father and the Work of His Son, that He Loves You soooo much, that Words can not describe the Length, Width or Depth of His Love. One more note, going to Church does not count as studying…studying…requires Involvement, a Relationship and Your Will To Want To Know God!
