The Lukewarm Church

Greetings Brother’s and Sister’s, In The Mighty Name of Jesus, The Christ!!!

Brothers and Sisters there is only One Scripture that this Word is used, it is Repulsive In Jesus Eyes. Jesus is Disgusted with the Church, insomuch that He will Spew or Vomit them out of His Presence! It is towards a Church that it is neither Cold or Hot, but is tepid in taste and use. Jesus is speaking of Their Love For Him, their Actions, their Speech.

The Biblical Definition: tepid, lukewarm; metaph. of the condition of the soul wretchedly fluctuating between a torpor and a fervor of love;

Webster Definition: (of liquid or food that should be hot) only moderately warm; tepid; tepid; slightly warm; warmish; blood-hot; blood-warm; at room temperature; at skin temperature; chamber; showing little enthusiasm; indifferent; cool; halfhearted; Apathetic; unenthusiastic; tepid; uninterested;

“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

Revelation 3:16

Brothers and Sisters the Requirement of us, is that we Love Jesus with a Burning Desire For Him, it cannot be Cold and it cannot be Lukewarm.

You can do the following things and be Lukewarm… you can go to church seven days a week, three times a day… you can give all your money to the poor… you can tell all the people around you that you believe in Jesus… you can be the best person in others eyes, willing to do anything for them… and in all these things, still be Disgusting To Jesus.

You can sing in the choir… you can read your Bible… you can teach a Sunday school class… you can do all of the physical mechanics of a “Spiritual Person” and in all of these things be Disgusting To Jesus.

The Love that Jesus Demands is one like a Burning Desire for Your Loved One, wanting to be a Part of Their Lives, wanting to be With Them Always, Desiring to be Intimate With Them. It is not a Love Story that can be Casual, whenever the need arises type of Relationship. It has to be a Love Affair that is Spiritual, From The Soul and Physical. The Love that Our Lord Jesus Demands has to be a Desire To Push anything and everything out of the way to Please Him In All Your Ways, not Part Of Your Ways!

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

John 14:15

When Our Lord Jesus spoke these words it is a Scale Statement, meaning, Jesus said “IF…” which is a clause of Maybe, or Maybe Not. On one side of the Scale there’s You, and on the other side of the Scale is Obedience. The Center that Divides the Scale, being the Fulcrum, is Love. From the Fulcrum it is Unmovable, it is Set Unchanging presenting the Statement Keeping My Commandments Is Love!

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”

Luke 6:46

Jesus is stating that IF you do not do as I tell you, then I am NOT YOUR LORD and YOU REALLY DO NOT LOVE ME! But Understand this, just has a Man and Woman when married become One in the site of God, your Actions and Soul must be the same with Jesus.

“And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?”

Matthew 19:5

God (The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit) want to be One With You, they do not want Any Separating Factors In Your Relationship. Just as God is One God in Three Persons, They Are One Together in All Their Ways.

Jesus does not want you to just Know About Him, He Wants you to Know Him.

“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

James 2:19

This Scripture is ironic in a sense, because Satan Knows God, not just About Him, He KNOWS HIM and because he Knows Him, Satan and his Demons Tremble Before Him. See Satan does not want you to get close to God, he wants you to Think that you are by doing Busy Work, Looking Good and putting Yourself Upon A Pedestal by Your Accomplishments.

“Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”

Revelation 3:17

You may Think that you are a Godly Person, but Who’s Scale ARE YOU Using? If the Scale is of the World, they really do not care because You Are NO THREAT. If you are using the Scale that Satan Presents, then he Laughs At You, Mocking God. There is only One True Scale and that is Jesus’ Scale Of Love.

I cannot say that I Love My Wife and Not Be Intimate With Her, nor can I say I Love My Wife if I Do Not Desire To Be With Her, nor can I say I Love My Wife if I Do Not Want To Do Things With Her…the Love Would Be Falsified! In other words it can Appear As Love and Not be Love At All.

“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name [is] Jealous, [is] a jealous God:”

Exodus 34:14

We Must Understand that God, that Jesus, is Very Jealous, that He does not want Anyone or Anything to Replace Him or for You to be Intimate With. Jesus paid a Price For You and in one sense it is an Investment that Demands a Return Of Love, Of Obedience…NOTHING LESS.

So, Brothers and Sisters is Jesus Your Heart Throb? Are you Thinking about The Lords Desire Above Your Own?

Jesus, is and will always be our Greatest Example of the Intimacy With The Father.

“He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.”

Matthew 26:42

See Jesus could not have been Lukewarm in His Love For The Father, He had to be All In or Nothing. The Father would not have Accepted Any Other Payment For You, He would not have Accepted His Son going Part Way, being Lukewarm in Obedience. We, Brothers and Sisters are under the same Rules, Jesus says All or Nothing!

Many of you make the statement using this Scripture…

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20

But the Question remains…Are You Lukewarm? Is the Life that you Live Truly Jesus In You or is it just something you want everyone to see and believe, including yourself?

Not being Lukewarm carries a Price, and it could be a Life or Death Price. The ironic thing is this, if the Price for Not being Lukewarm is being on Fire For Jesus, in and about your Life, then Death to The World, to Yourself is The Price that Must Be Paid…In Full…Every Day… All Day…Until Jesus takes us home.

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Matthew 24:13

What are we Enduring? We are Enduring Our Lives Being A Living Sacrifice For Jesus WRAPPED IN LOVE!

Again, I cannot tell my wife that I Love her without Showing her that I Love her by both Word and Deed, nor can I tell Jesus that I Love Him without Word or Deed. But in order for me Not to become Lukewarm I Must Press Forward Every day. Our Brother Paul says that we Run a Race as though we are Trying To Win a Crown. This is a Statement of Compassion, a Desire, and a Love that cannot be quenched by anything.

“²⁴ Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. ²⁵ And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. ²⁶ I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: ²⁷ But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Someone who enters a Race, cannot sit on the side lines and expect to win, they Must Enter under the Same Rules as all the other Racers and Must Give Their All in order to Win. Examine your Life, are you Lukewarm?

You can measure your Life on a Scale that God have provided, it is called The Bible and He did not only give us the Bible as our Guide, but also gave us The Holy Spirit to Teach Us How To Live. You can use the Scale in two fashions, you can look at your Life and Compare it to the Bible, or you can take The Bible and Compare Your Life Against it, but either way it will come out to the same answer.

“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”

Revelation 3:19

If you are not Compassionate For Jesus, if your Love has Waxed Cold, if Your Life does not Agree With God’s Holy Word, then Repent, be On Fire for Jesus and His Ways!!! Let not Excuses keep you from a Relationship With Jesus. I have heard every excuse under the sun why someone would choose to be Disobedient To Jesus and they were just that, a Excuse Not To… it is Always by Our Choice, Jesus can Present it, The Holy Spirit can Present it, The Bible can Present it but, the Final Choice Is always ours!

It is like a Relay Race, Jesus, through Obedience to The Father, passed that Baton to us and we must Run in the same Fashion, in the same Spirit as He did and Pass The Love to others through our Fervent Love For Jesus by Obedience in Keeping His Commandments, His Word.
