“And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.”
Matthew 19:29
“24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.”
John 12:24-26
Brothers and Sisters this a topic we all struggle with, we avoid it at every cost. For most of us, our Prospective Needs To Change. Death is the Transformation To New Life no matter what had Life, whether it’s Human Life, or the Life of an Animal, or an Object or Event In Our Lives. Everything goes through this cycle of Life and Death and it will not end until we go Home to be with Jesus.
Let’s break this down to more specifics. Let’s start with Human Death, the hardest of all deaths for us to deal with.
“27 What I tell you in darkness, [that] speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, [that] preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
Matthew 10:27-31
Jesus says we are Not To Fear the Death Of Our Bodies. For us who Know Jesus as Lord and Savior should not Fear Death, but we should embrace the fact that we are simply going Home to be with Jesus and that we will take on a New and Better After-Life, as we have never known! Because we know Jesus, we do not have to Fear the second part, which is the Second Death, but to those who do not know Jesus, they will face the Second Death. All of us will stand in Judgement before the Mercy Seat, Jesus will have the Final Word. The First Judgement is dealing with our Relationship with Jesus.
“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”
Revelation 3:5
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 20:15
To us who know Jesus, Death is but a Doorway unto Life Eternal with God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit!
Our Emotions dictate to us How We Feel about any certain event. Uncontrolled Emotions will bring forth many destructive things, such as Envy, Depression and Regret. These three seem to be a part of our Lives in most of Deaths Events at some level. But in Human Loss, if we know that the person knows Jesus, we mourn their departure, instead of embracing that it is but a short while and we will be reunited with them.
“14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye [ought] to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”
James 4:14-15
I have told many that when I die, to throw a party, because where I go, is better than where they remain! But I know that they will not, but instead will mourn the loss of my Life, the essence of my Life that they shared in. Do not get me wrong; Grieving is a part of Acceptance that we must go through in any given loss, but let us not allow it to Dictate Our Lives, but with it find New Meaning In Life.
Now Death in Objects or Events. All things have a Cycle Of Life, from Concept to End Of Life Expectancies. I go an buy a smart phone it’s Life Expectancy is around 4 years, but to you the Life Expectancy of the phone is 6 months to a year, all because you want the Latest Technology. We cast them to the side with very little regard.
An Event can be short or it can be a Life Time, but it does have a Life Expectancy, it will end. How you Attach yourself to it will result in the Expectancy of your own Life tied to it. Look at a job. Some people in today’s age get a New Job every 6 months to 3 years, and if you have been there for 5 years, you have been there too long. A lot of companies want New Employees all of the time because of their Concept of New Ideas and letting go of the old ways.
“25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:25-34
We find in these Scriptures dealing with an Inanimate Object, our well-being. The things of this World we need not hold onto as though they are our Lives. Our God, Our Lord Jesus, knows everything we need even before we ask. Yes, I have to fight the Thoughts, the Emotions, the Regrets, the Depression the same as anyone else does, but, as the Holy Spirit continues to Remind me, my Life is in Jesus’ Hands. If I can Trust Him to Save Me from the Lake Of Fire, then how much more can He Save Me in this Life as I Walk In Obedience to Him! I therefore must change my Conception To Life and my Perspective On Life!
“1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:1-2
“6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off.”
Isaiah 55:6-13
The problem with Death is not God’s, but it is mine. I must Embrace God in All Aspects Of My Life and allow Him to Control and Do With as He Will’s. if my Perspective on Death is that God Is In Control, then that means that God has a Plan for me and my Life, whether I Like it or Do Not Like it does not matter. Let us look at our Lord Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane.
“41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”
Luke 22:41-44
Jesus did not want to go through what was before Him, He sought The Father, even to a point of begging The Father to Not Let Him go through what was ahead of Him. But Jesus knew that in His Death, it would bring forth Life to All Of Those Who Would Believe. Jesus Did Not Want To Do It though! What got Him through it was, the most Profound Words In Action, “…nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done”. We can say these Words, but can we Walk Them Out in our Lives? Can we honestly let go and let God do His Will in our Lives where Death is at hand.
Our biggest battle is within our minds and we must fight continuously.
“10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:10-18
We must have the Understanding that Satan wants to convince us that Death is a Bad Thing, but when we look at Death through God’s Eyes, we find in most cases that a New Life Emerges from it. We must Let Go Of Life, allow it to Die In Us to Bring Forth New Life Within Us! We can come up with every excuse not to, every excuse why to hold on, every excuse under the sun, but the bottom line is, Your Trust, Your Relationship With Jesus and You Walking In Obedience. As always, it is Your Choice, on how you will deal with Death, but it will always be present until God The Father says it is done, and then Death and Hell will be Cast Into The Lake Of Fire!
